Dialogue before decks
The Forum minimizes presentations so time stays with executive exchange. Framing is concise; the room does the substantive work.

Forum Facilitation
The Forum is designed as a working session—not a stage. Active facilitation keeps the conversation focused, inclusive, and moving toward priorities WDMA can act on.
The Facilitation Mandate
Senior leaders enter the room with different market views, company realities, and areas of expertise. The facilitator’s role is not to manufacture consensus. It is to create the conditions for a rigorous exchange, make emerging themes visible, and help participants distinguish broad agreement from productive tension.
The process connects each conversation to the next so that the Forum develops a clear line from discovery to alignment, action, and follow-through.
Our Principles
These principles guide the agenda, the facilitator, and each participant’s role in the Forum.
The Forum minimizes presentations so time stays with executive exchange. Framing is concise; the room does the substantive work.
Chatham House Rule, clear antitrust reminders, and active redirection protect honest discussion while keeping conversation at an appropriate industry level.
Participants are invited to look beyond a single function or company and consider what strengthens the window, door, and skylight industry as a whole.
The facilitator listens across sessions, identifies recurring themes, tests them with the room, and helps translate complexity into a focused set of priorities.
The work closes with ownership and next steps: an outcomes brief, board discussion, member communication, and a 90-day action path.
In the Room
Draw out the forces, concerns, and opportunities leaders believe will shape the next decade.
Make common themes and meaningful differences visible across the room.
Test assumptions, sharpen language, and separate symptoms from strategic issues.
Prioritize the few areas that deserve WDMA leadership, collaboration, or continued exploration.
